Built a sensational DXP iPad app for Hyundai

Hyundai is one of the largest car manufacturers across the globe. Their relentless pursuit of automotive excellence has garnered them a devoted customer base and over the years, has firmly solidified their position as a frontrunner in the industry.

Requirements

  • Develop an iPad app to showcase 3D car models
  • Enable users to view products from different angles, zoom in and out, and interact with them.
  • Provide a realistic representation of products with accurate colours, textures, and dimensions.
  • Optimize the app for performance, loading times, and compatibility across various iPad models.
  • Devise effective marketing campaigns.

Challenge

One of the key challenges UPDOT faced with this project was the tight timeframe. With a limited window of time, our team had to ensure that the product was developed and launched on time without any compromise on the quality and performance. Balancing creativity and technical precision under such time constraints was a formidable task.

Approach

After a deep dive into the demands and preferences of the target audience, we explored various 3D modelling and rendering technologies to determine the most suitable approach. Simultaneously, our design team created wireframes and mockups to visualise the design using Photoshop and Illustrator. With Unity as the modelling technology and by using the latest iOS frameworks and tools, our experts successfully built a 3D Model iPad app that wasn’t just intuitive but also highly responsive

Result

By leveraging 3D modelling, rendering, and user-friendly design, the app provided an interactive and immersive environment for users to explore products before making purchasing decisions. Sales escalated from about 35% to 60% and positive customer feedback regarding the enhanced product visualization experience flocked in. The integration of this innovative technology improved customer engagement and ultimately contributed to increased sales.
